Daily farmer registrations for wheat sales at govt centres cross 1,000 in Uttar Pradesh

Positive policies under CM Yogi Adityanath are boosting wheat procurement in Uttar Pradesh. In just 42 days, over 4.2 lakh farmers registered for the 2025–26 season. Since March 17, 1.19 lakh farmers have sold 6.57 lakh metric tonnes of wheat. Officials are actively reaching out, ensuring smooth operations, and improving facilities to create a farmer-friendly environment.

Lucknow: Positive policies of the Yogi govt are encouraging more wheat farmers in Uttar Pradesh to opt for govt procurement. In just 42 days, 4,20,837 farmers have registered at purchase centres for the 2025–26 season — averaging over 1,000 registrations per day.

Since the start of wheat procurement on Mar 17, over 1.19 lakh farmers have sold around 6.57 lakh metric tonnes of their produce. The drive, which continues until Jun 15, is witnessing a strong participation from farmers across Uttar Pradesh.

Following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directives, officials from the food and civil supplies department have been actively reaching out to farmers even on Sundays, ensuring smooth operations at the grassroots level.

Special efforts are also being made to guarantee proper facilities at purchase centers, including clean drinking water and shaded waiting areas, creating a farmer-friendly environment.

Farmers who have not yet registered or renewed their registration for wheat sales can do so at fcs.up.gov.in or through the UP KISAN MITRA mobile app. Registration on this portal/app is mandatory for selling wheat. Farmers can also report their problems by calling 18001800150, and officials are making sure that their issues are resolved quickly.

Following CM’s instructions, the purchase centers are open every day from 8 an to 8 pm. Even on holidays, officials are visiting villages to connect with farmers. On Sunday, officers from the food and civil supplies department spoke with farmers and purchased wheat through mobile purchase centres.
