DM warns of action against sugar mills if they fail to clear pending cane dues
According to the news report published in Amar Ujala, Muradabad’s District Magistrate Shailendra Kumar Singh has expressed displeasure over the delayed payment of sugarcane prices. DM Singh has issued a stern warning to take strict actions within a week against Belvada Sugar Mill and Laxmi Sugar Mill, Bilari for their failure to make timely payments for sugarcane prices.
In a meeting with the management of the sugar mills, DM Singh inquired about the pending sugarcane prices for the 2022-23 crushing season at Belvada Sugar Mill and Lakshmi Sugar Mill Bilari.
He issued a warning that the payment for the outstanding sugarcane price must be made within a week, or else strict actions will be taken against the mill management.
The review meeting was attended by Dhansingh, Vice-Chairperson of Belvada Sugar Mill, Subhash Khokkar, Vice-Chairperson of Bilari Sugar Mill, Anil Kumar, CFO of Bilari Sugar Mill, and Suresh Chand, Secretary of the Cooperative Sugarcane Development Committee Limited.
