EIA: Ethanol Production Down 1%, Stocks Up 2%, Exports Down 34%

U.S. fuel ethanol production declined by 1% for the week ending July 19, averaging 1.095 million barrels per day, down from 1.106 million barrels the previous week. Ethanol stocks increased by over 2%, reaching 23.723 million barrels, up from 23.16 million barrels. Exports fell sharply by 34% to 57,000 barrels per day, compared to 70,000 barrels per day the previous week. There were no reported ethanol imports for the week.

U.S. fuel ethanol production was down 1% the week ending July 19, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on July 24. Ethanol stocks were up more than 2% and exports were down 34%.

Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.095 million barrels per day the week ending July 19, down 11,000 barrels per day when compared to the previous week’s near record production of 1.106 million barrels per day. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending July 19 was up 1,000 barres per day. 

Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol expanded to 23.723 million barrels the week ending July 19, up 563,000 barrels when compared to the 23.16 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending July 19 were up 495,000 barrel

Exports of fuel ethanol fell to 57,000 barrels per day the week ending July 19, down 13,000 barrels per day when compared to the 70,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending July 19 were down 29,000 barrels per day. No fuel ethanol imports were reported for the week ending July 19.
