EIA: Ethanol production up 2%, stocks up 1%, exports up 82%
U.S. fuel ethanol production increased by 2% in the week ending November 1, according to the Energy Information Administration. Production averaged 1.105 million barrels per day, a rise of 23,000 barrels from the previous week and up 63,000 barrels compared to the same week last year. Ethanol stocks also rose by 1%, reaching 22.02 million barrels. Notably, exports surged by 82%, averaging 109,000 barrels per day, marking a significant increase from both the previous week and last year.
U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by 2% the week ending Nov. 1, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Nov. 6. Ethanol stocks were up 1% and exports were up 82%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.105 million barrels per day the week ending Nov. 1, up 23,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.082 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending Nov. 1 was up 63,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol reached 22.02 million barrels the week ending Nov. 1, up 249,000 barrels when compared to the 21.771 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending Nov. 1 were up 1.031 million barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 109,000 barrels per day the week ending Nov. 1, up 49,000 barrels per day when compared to the 60,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending Nov. 1 were up 17,000 barrels per day. No fuel ethanol imports were reported for the week ending Nov. 1.
