EIA: Ethanol production up slightly, stocks up 2%, exports down 8%


U.S. fuel ethanol production slightly increased to 1.084 million barrels per day for the week ending Feb. 14. Stocks rose by 2% to 26.218 million barrels, while exports declined by 8% to 138,000 barrels per day. No imports were reported.
U.S. fuel ethanol production was up slightly the week ending Feb. 14, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Feb. 20. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up 2% and exports were down 8%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.084 million barrels per day the week ending Feb. 14, up 2,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.082 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending Feb. 9 was up 1,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol expanded to 26.218 million barrels the week ending Feb. 14, up 526,000 barrels when compared to the 25.692 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending Feb. 14 were up 408,000 barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 138,000 barrels per day the week ending Feb. 14, down 12,000 barrels per day when compared to the 150,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending Feb. 14 were up 31,000 barrels per day. No fuel ethanol imports were reported for the week ending Feb. 14.
