EIA weekly data: Ethanol production down 5%, stocks down 1%, exports down 15%


U.S. fuel ethanol production fell 5% to 1.055 million barrels/day for the week ending Sept. 12, the EIA reported. Stocks dropped 1% to 22.602 million barrels, down 1.183 million year-on-year. Exports declined 15% to 103,000 barrels/day, 48,000 lower than last year. No ethanol imports were recorded for the week.
U.S. fuel ethanol production fell by nearly 5% the week ending Sept. 12, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Sept. 17. Stocks of fuel ethanol were down 1% and exports fell by 15%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.055 million barrels per day the week ending Sept. 12., down 50,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.105 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending Sept. 12 was up 6,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol fell to 22.602 million barrels the week ending Sept. 12, down 235,000 barrels when compared to the 22.837 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending Sept. 12 were down 1.183 million barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 103,000 barrels per day the week ending Sept. 12, down 18,000 barrels per day when compared to the 121,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending Sept. 12 were down 48,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending Sept. 12.
