EIA weekly data: Ethanol production sets new record, stocks up 1%, exports down 39%
U.S. fuel ethanol production reached a record 1.123 million barrels per day for the week ending Oct. 31, up 3% from the previous week. Ethanol stocks also increased to 22.66 million barrels, while exports fell 39% to 107,000 barrels per day. No ethanol imports were recorded for the week.
U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded 3% to a record high 1.123 million barrels per day the week ending Oct. 31, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Nov. 5. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up 1% while exports fell 39%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged a record 1.123 million barrels per day the week ending Oct. 31, up 32,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.091 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week, and up 3,000 barrels per day when compared to the previous record of 1.12 million barrels per day, which was set in June 2025. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending Oct. 31 was up 18,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol reached 22.655 million barrels the week ending Oct. 31, up 288,000 barrels when compared to the 22.367 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending Oct. 31 were up 635,000 barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 107,00 barrels per day the week ending Oct. 31, down 68,000 barrels per day when compared to the 175,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending Oct. 31 were down 2,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending Oct. 31.
