Ethanol blending reaches 15.90 per cent in June; E20 available at 14,476 PSU outlets till July 1
Malaysian palm oil futures rose 0.84% to 3,957 ringgit/ton, driven by strength in Dalian and Chicago contracts. The firmer ringgit limited gains, but palm oil is expected to revisit its July 12 high of 3,991 ringgit/ton. Dalian’s soyoil contract rose 0.87%, while its palm oil contract added 2.09%. Chicago soyoil prices were up 0.56%. Brent crude oil futures edged up 0.06% to $83.78/barrel, indicating a positive outlook for palm oil prices.
In June, ethanol blending with Petrol reached 15.90 per cent and cumulative ethanol blending during November 2023-June 2024 touched 13.0 per cent.
According to the Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC) Monthly Ready Reckoner report, Ethanol blending with Petrol was achieved at 15.90 per cent during June 2024 and cumulative ethanol blending during November 2023-June 2024 was 13.0 per cent. As on 01.07.2024, 14,476 PSU outlets out of 81,963 total PSU Retail Outlets are dispensing E20 Ethanol Blended MS.
Recently, PPAC had reported that India is also on track to achieve 20% blending by 2025.
