Ethanol blending with petrol touches 15.90 per cent in June

As of July 1, 2024, 14,476 out of 81,963 PSU retail outlets in India are dispensing E20 ethanol blended petrol, according to the Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC) report. Ethanol blending with petrol reached 15.90% in June 2024, with a cumulative blending of 13.0% from November 2023 to June 2024. PPAC collects and analyzes data from public and private companies to provide insights on the oil and gas sector, supporting policymakers and analysts amidst the global shift towards renewables and biofuels.

In June 2024, ethanol blending with petrol reached 15.90%, and the cumulative ethanol blending from November 2023 to June 2024 was 13.0%. According to the Monthly Ready Reckoner report from the Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC), as of July 1, 2024, 14,476 PSU outlets out of a total of 81,963 PSU Retail Outlets are dispensing E20 Ethanol Blended MS.

PPAC, an office attached to the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) of the Government of India, collects and analyzes data on the oil and gas sector. It disseminates various reports on the sector to stakeholders, obtaining data from public sector companies, government agencies, and private companies. With the increasing global demand for energy and the shift towards renewables and biofuels, policymakers and analysts require up-to-date information on industry trends.
