Meanwhile, according to the information provided by the central government, ethanol produced from bad rice will be available at Rs 64 per liter and petrol produced from maize at Rs 66 per litre. For the second time in fifteen days, the central government has decided to increase the price of ethanol. On August 7, the government had announced an additional incentive of Rs 4 75 paise for ethanol from rice and Rs 6 1 paise for ethanol from maize. After that, within fifteen days, the price has been increased again. It has been reported that the price hike is necessary to encourage ethanol producing industries and to maintain the pace of ethanol blending. The central government is now promoting maize. An increase in the price of ethanol produced from corn will contribute to the increase in profits. .

Aim to produce 21.25 crore liters of ethanol from rice and maize

According to the information given by the central government, the government has set a target of producing 21.25 crore liters of ethanol from rice and maize. In the current season ending October 31, oil marketing companies will have to purchase 21.25 crore liters of ethanol from grain-based distilleries. But till now the information has been given by the central government that the distilleries have supplied only 9.52 crore liters of ethanol. Food Corporation of India supplies rice to distilleries for ethanol production. But this supply has been stopped in July. Because the corporation stopped supplying the distilleries due to the increase in the price of rice. Due to this, the production of ethanol has decreased. Many distilleries are closed due to shortage of rice.
