Farmers told to adopt new cane varieties for better productivity, disease resistance
The ICAR-Sugarcane Breeding Institute in Coimbatore has urged farmers to adopt new sugarcane varieties to improve productivity and disease resistance. Officials say replacing older varieties with improved ones like Co 18009 can help boost yields and strengthen farmers’ income sustainability.
