Fiji : $17.03 per tonne of cane payment on Friday
Fiji sugarcane farmers will receive a fourth cane payment of \$17.03 per tonne on May 23, 2025, for the 2024 season. This brings the total payment to \$86.66 per tonne so far. The Fiji Sugar Corporation has already paid \$69.63 per tonne in earlier installments. As of April 30, growers’ net share stands at \$115.43 million.
Sugarcane farmers will receive $17.03 per tonne of cane payment on Friday.
This will be the fourth cane payment for 2024 season.
Fiji Sugar Corporation has to-date paid out to farmers a total of $69.63 per tonne of cane for the 2024 season, made up of $43.06 per tonne as delivery payment, $14.35 per tonne as second cane payment and $12.22 per tonne as third cane payment.
FSC has advised that a payout of $17.03 per tonne of cane will be made on the 23rd of May 2025 as the fourth cane payment, bringing the total amount to $86.66 per tonne of cane for the 2024 cane payment.
The net share of the sugarcane growers cane proceeds received and balance receivable as of 30th April 2025 is $115,427,843.
