Financial investors reduce net long position in Euronext wheat
In the week ending June 14, non-commercial participants in Euronext’s milling wheat futures and options decreased their net long positions to 92,942 contracts from 108,241, while commercial participants reduced their net short positions to 97,839 contracts from 113,232. Commercial shorts comprised 61.7% of total short positions, with commercial longs at 56.39% of total longs. In rapeseed futures, non-commercial net long positions fell to 8,674 contracts from 9,940, while commercial net shorts decreased to 4,085 contracts from 5,561.
une 19 (Reuters) -Non-commercial market participants reduced their net long position in Euronext’s milling wheat futures and options in the week to June 14,data published by Euronext showed on Wednesday.
Non-commercial participants, which include investment funds and financial institutions, reduced their net long position to 92,942 contracts from 108,241 a week earlier, the data showed.
Commercial participants reduced their net short position to 97,839 contracts from 113,232 a week earlier.
Commercials’ short positions accounted for 61.7% of the total short positions while commercial long positions accounted for 56.39% of total longs.
Non-commercial short positions represented 36.9% of total short positions while non-commercial net long positions accounted for 53.5% of the total longs.
In Euronext’s rapeseed futures and options, non-commercial market participants reduced their net long position to 8,674 contracts from 9,940 a week earlier.
Commercial participants reduced their net short position in rapeseed to 4,085 contracts from 5,561 a week earlier.
