France increased the estimate of wheat production and decreased it for corn

France’s Agriculture Ministry raised its 2025 soft wheat harvest estimate to 33.3 M tons, 5% above the five-year average. Recent storms boosted yields. Meanwhile, grain corn forecasts dropped to 13.4 M tons amid drought and heat, down 8% year-on-year. Total grain output is projected at 63.15 M tons, up from 54 M tons in 2024.

The Ministry of Agriculture of France has raised the estimate of the gross harvest of soft wheat in the country from 33.1 million tons to 33.3 million tons, reports the Zerno On-Line agency. Due to the recent stormy weather, wheat production increased by a third, compared to the five-year average – by 5%.

Collecting corn, collected from the top of the chest up to the chest, was lower than a month ago. Due to the abnormal baking and dryness, the forecast for the grain corn harvest was reduced from 13.7 million tons to 13.4 million tons. In the past year, the corn yield will decrease by 8%.
