France plans to increase its share of Morocco’s milling wheat imports to 60%

Morocco is set to import over 3 million tons of French milling wheat in 2025/26, accounting for a fifth of France’s total wheat exports, according to France Intercereales forecasts.
According to forecasts from the industrial group France Intercereales, Morocco will import over 3 million tons of French milling wheat this season, accounting for a fifth of France’s total exports. This was reported by the Zerno On-Line news agency, citing European traders.
France Intercereales expects Morocco to import 5 million tons of milling wheat, 1 million tons of durum wheat, and 1 million tons of barley this season, as well as at least 2.5 million tons of corn. This means France will account for approximately 60% of Morocco’s milling wheat imports.
This year, Morocco has already purchased 1 million tons of French milling wheat.
France Intercereales forecasts that French exporters will export 15 million tons of milling wheat this season, 8 million of which will be exported outside the European Union.
France Intercereales published these forecasts ahead of its annual meeting with Moroccan importers, which will take place next week in Casablanca.
