Govt taking all necessary steps to achieve 20% blending of ethanol in petrol: Oil Minister Puri
Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, stated on September 2 that the government is actively working towards achieving a 20% ethanol blend in petrol. Speaking at the India Bio Energy & Tech Expo, Puri encouraged automobile companies to produce E100 compatible vehicles. He also commended the industry for developing vehicles that can use E20 fuel and for creating retrofit kits for older models to support this transition.

Speaking at India Bio Energy & Tech Expo, Puri urged the automobile companies to make E100 compatible vehicles.
“I would like to commend the automobile industry for not only manufacturing new vehicles that are compliant with E 20 fuel, but also for their efforts in developing retrofit kits for older vehicles,” Puri added.
