IPL Dhenkanal Sugar Unit begins Sugarcane crushing for the 2023-24 season
Dhenkanal : Indian Potash Limited, Dhenkanal Sugar Unit, situated at Haripur village, Korian in Dhenkanal commenced it’s sugarcane crushing for the 2023-24 season on Wednesday.
On this occasion Dhenkanal District Magistrate and Collector Manoranjan Mallick, along with Superintendent of Police of Dhenkanal Gyana Ranjan Mohapatra attended the event and performed the puja and arti of Goddess Mahalaxmi inside the Mill premises. They officially inaugurated the sugarcane crushing by placing the sugarcane inside the crushing machine.
In this 2023-24 season the unit aims to crush around 2 lakhs 60 thousand metric tonnes of sugarcane.
Officers of different Departments of District Administration, District Agriculture Officer, sugarcane farmers from different districts, members and officials of Truck Owners Association, press and media persons attended the event.
IPL Odisha Branch Head Sanjeev Sinha, Company’s Vice-President Neeraj Sharma, General Manager Durga Prasad Dwivedy, Unit Head Santosh Dash, Cane department head Upendra Kumar Tibotia, finance department head Sailesh Vankar, AGM cane C. Kannan, AGM process Bhawani Prasad Rath, Deputy Manager Administration Jagamohan Sahu, Unit head PA Khirod Kumar Behera, President of Labour Association of the IPL Dhenkanal Sugar Unit Basant Kumar Behera and other officials of different departments were present at the event.
