Jordan gets 7 participants in 120,000 tons of wheat tender

In Hamburg, seven trading companies, including Cargill, CHS, Viterra, Al Dahra, The Andersons, Ameropa, and Buildcom, are reportedly participating in Jordan’s international tender for 120,000 metric tons of wheat. The tender, conducted by Jordan’s state grains buyer, aims for shipments in 60,000 ton consignments across various dates from August 16 to September 30. Results of the tender are anticipated later today, following Jordan’s decision not to purchase in a previous tender on July 2.

HAMBURG: Seven trading companies are believed to be taking part so far in the international tender on Tuesday from Jordan’s state grains buyer to purchase 120,000 metric tons of wheat, traders said in initial assessments.

Participants were believed to be Cargill, CHS, Viterra, Al Dahra, The Andersons, Ameropa and Buildcom, they said. No purchase has yet been made and results are expected later on Tuesday, traders said. Shipment is sought in a series of possible combinations in 60,000 ton consignments.

Possible shipment combinations are between Aug. 16-31, Sept. 1-15 and Sept. 16-30. Jordan did not make a purchase in a previous tender for 120,000 metric tons of wheat on July 2.
