Jordan issues tender to buy 120,000 metric tons wheat, traders say
Jordan’s state grain buyer has issued a tender for 120,000 metric tons of milling wheat, with offers due by July 30. Shipment options include 60,000-ton consignments for September 1-15, September 16-30, and October 1-15. This new tender follows a previous one where no purchase was made. Additionally, Jordan has a separate tender for 120,000 tons of animal feed barley closing on Wednesday.
HAMBURG, July 24 (Reuters) -Jordan’s state grain buyer has issued an international tender to buy 120,000 metrictons of milling wheat which can be sourced from optional origins, European traders said on Wednesday.
The deadline for submission of price offers in the tender is July 30.

Shipment in the new tender is sought in a series of possible combinations in 60,000 ton consignments. Possible shipment combinations are for Sept. 1-15, Sept. 16-30 and Oct. 1-15.
These are the same periods as sought in Tuesday’s tender.
Jordan has also issued a separate tender to buy 120,000 tons of animal feed barley which closes on Wednesday.
