Jordan Issues Tender to Buy Up to 120,000 Tons of Wheat

Jordan’s state grain buyer has issued an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling wheat from optional origins, with offers due August 26. Shipments of 50,000–60,000 tons are sought for October–November. A separate 120,000-ton barley tender closes Wednesday after a failed wheat purchase earlier this week.

The state grain buyer of Jordan has announced an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling whey that can come from optional origins.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 26 August.

Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.

The tender seeks to ship consignments between 50,000 and 60,000 tons in any combination of the dates October 1-15, 16-31, 1-15 November, 16-30.

The same shipping periods were requested as in the tender on Tuesday.

Jordan also published a separate tender for 120,000 tons animal feed barley that closes on Wednesday.
