Kazakhstan starts supplying wheat to UAE

On May 12, Kazakhstan shipped its first wheat train to Jebel Ali via Turkmenistan and Iran. Handled by IK Trading, the 18-day route strengthens Eurasia-Middle East logistics. On May 12, the first train with a batch of Kazakh wheat was sent to the port of Jebel Ali. The cargo trader was IK Trading. This was reported by the press service of the national company KTZ.

The route runs through the territory of Turkmenistan and Iran, with subsequent transshipment in the port of Bandar Abbas and delivery by sea to the UAE. The average travel time is 18 days.

“This step has become the next stage in the development of logistics routes between Eurasia and the Middle East,” the company noted.
