Kotyark Industries Limited receives ‘consent to operate’ letter for biodiesel production in Rajasthan

Kotyark Industries Limited has received a “Consent to Operate” letter from the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board for its biodiesel and glycerin production facility in Swaroopgunj, Sirohi district. Valid from May 16, 2024, to April 30, 2034, the consent allows production of up to 1500 KL per day of biodiesel and 210 KL per day of glycerin. While immediate expansion isn’t planned, Kotyark aims to strategically enhance capacity to meet future demand for renewable energy and contribute to sustainable solutions.

Kotyark Industries Limited has been granted “Consent to Operate” letter from Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board for factory based in Swaroopgunj, Sirohi district for biodiesel and glycerin production. The validity of this consent to operate is from May 16, 2024, to April 30, 2034.

In a regulatory filing, Kotyark Industries Limited said, “We would like to inform that on May 16, 2024, our Company has applied for “Consent to Operate” letter for enhancement of production capacity of our biodiesel and glycerin under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Section 21 the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 to the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) for Manufacturing/ producing biodiesel (Product) and glycerin (By Product) at our factory located at Plot No. F-86 to F-90, RIICO Industrial Area, Swaroopgunj, District Sirohi, Rajasthan. On June 27, 2024 Company has received, the “Consent to Operate” letter from RSPCB.”

The consent permits the manufacturing/ production of biodiesel up to a maximum quantity of 1500 KL per day and Glycerin up to 210 KL per day.

The Company will not immediately expand to this enhanced production limit, however over the long-term, the proposed expansion of this biodiesel production capacity is strategically aligned with the growing demand for renewable energy sources and biofuels. Company is confident in the long-term prospects of adoption of Biodiesel and the benefits this expansion will bring in the future.
