Lakhimpur Kheri: Farmers raise demand for clearing pending cane dues

Lakhimpur Kheri: The Rashtriya Kisan Shakti Sangathan (NKSS) held a Kisan Chaupal in Baghmara village, demanding the clearance of pending sugarcane payments from sugar mills, reported Live Hindustan. The meeting was led by Rakesh Singh, with Mandal Sangathan Mantri Santosh Singh Bhadauria and state vice-president Shivdayal Verma in attendance. Farmers alleged that sugar mills have failed to pay dues for over three months since the mills closed, halting payments post-crushing season.

Lakhimpur Kheri: The Rashtriya Kisan Shakti Sangathan (NKSS) organized a Kisan Chaupal (farmers’ meeting) in village Baghmara to demand the clearance of pending sugarcane payments from sugar mills, reported Live Hindustan.

The meeting was presided over by Rakesh Singh and Mandal Sangathan Mantri Santosh Singh Bhadauria was present for the meeting.

RKSS state vice-president Shivdayal Verma alleged that sugar mills have not been paying the pending sugarcane dues to farmers even after three months of the closure of the mills. Farmers claim that the sugarcane payments have been stopped after the end of the crushing season.
