North Bengal’s largest ethanol plant is going to be built at Maldar Gasol. This factory will be built on about 52 acres of land. It is to be noted that recently the center has repeatedly highlighted the importance of ethanol in order to reduce the price of petrol. In this environment, this ethanol plant of Gasol is going to be a significant

The central government plans to mix ethanol with petrol and sell it in the coming days. The plan has been implemented in many places. The government wants to implement that plan in the whole of India by 2025. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have repeatedly heard that. In this environment, the largest ethanol plant in North Bengal is being built in Malda.

t is known that this ethanol factory will be built on 52 acres of land. This factory is being built by a company called ‘JSR Grain Energy’. 500 people will get direct employment. Meanwhile, about 10 thousand farmers of the state will benefit from this factory. Meanwhile, the state government has given 99 years lease of 28.15 acres of the factory’s 52 acres of land. It is known that within the next 8 months, the production of ethanol will start in the factory.

Meanwhile, JSR Grain Energy thanked the Chief Minister and the district administration for providing land for the factory and helping in other areas. It is known that the company has set a target of production of 2 lakh liters of ethanol per day. Energy companies can buy ethanol directly from factories. 300 skilled artisans and 200 unskilled artisans will be employed for factory work.

Rajendra Jain, one of the owners of the 4/7 factory, said that 600 tons of rice will be required to produce 2 lakh liters of ethanol daily. About 2 lakh tons of rice will be required annually. In this environment, thousands of farmers in Malda, Murshidabad and Dinajpur regions will be able to sell rice directly to the factory. Approximately 10,000 farmers will benefit from it. Meanwhile, broken rice can also come from East Burdwan as a raw material for ethanol. Besides, the company can also buy rice from the Food Corporation.

t should be noted that in the past few years, Indians have seen the price of petrol and diesel climb due to several reasons like the Covid epidemic, financial instability, Russia-Ukraine war. Currently that price is stable but much higher than before. But in the meantime, a big step is being taken by the government. It may reduce fuel prices in the next two years.

On February 6, the Modi government started selling 20 percent ethanol blended fuel at 84 petrol pumps in 11 states. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced at a G20 conference that by 2025, petrol mixed with 20 percent ethanol will be sold everywhere. It will reduce the price of fuel.

According to the Centre, before the BJP came to power in 2014, only 1.5 percent of the country’s petrol was blended with ethanol. That level has increased over the past year. Already 10% ethanol is being added to petrol now. And the government plans to add 20 percent ethanol to petrol by 2030. But even before that, this project has been launched in 11 states to fulfill this goal. And by 2025, the government plans to sell 20 percent blended ethanol throughout the country.
