Madhya Pradesh Wheat Procurement 2026: MSP Purchase to Start March 16-20 with ₹40 Bonus for Farmers

Madhya Pradesh is preparing to begin wheat procurement for the 2026–27 rabi marketing season between March 16 and 20. The state has set up 3,186 procurement centres and announced an MSP of ₹2,625 per quintal, including a ₹40 bonus, to support farmers.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is all set for wheat procurement under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the Rabi Marketing Year 2026-27, as the state government ramps up preparations. The registration period for farmers to sell wheat has ended, and authorities have confirmed that no extension will be given.

CM Mohan Yadav Reviews Wheat Procurement Readiness

In a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav closely reviewed preparations for wheat procurement across the state. Following the meeting, the CM formed a ministerial committee to oversee and monitor wheat procurement.

The committee will supervise the purchase of all crops under MSP for the Rabi Marketing Year 2026-27, including chickpeas (chana), lentils (masoor), and mustard (sarson).

Ministerial Committee to Monitor Procurement

The committee consists of:

  • Karan Singh Verma – Revenue Minister
  • Govind Singh Rajput – Food Minister
  • Adal Singh Kansana – Agriculture Minister
  • Uday Pratap Singh – Minister
  • Lakhan Patel – Minister

The committee’s tenure is effective until June 30, 2026, and it will ensure smooth procurement operations across all districts.

Wheat Procurement to Begin Soon

With registration complete and preparations in place, wheat procurement in Madhya Pradesh is expected to start between March 16 and March 20, 2026. CM Mohan Yadav has already issued necessary guidelines to all district collectors to ensure timely execution.

This year, the government has announced a bonus of ₹40 per quintal, bringing the procurement rate to ₹2,625 per quintal, providing added benefits to farmers.

Infrastructure and Farmer Support

Madhya Pradesh has established 3,186 procurement centers across all 55 districts to facilitate smooth wheat purchase. Farmers can also access information and assistance through the official e-Uparjan Portal provided by the state government.

With preparations complete and systems in place, Madhya Pradesh is ready for a seamless and efficient wheat procurement season, ensuring farmers receive timely support under the MSP scheme.
