Maha: Four sugarcane cutter labourers die; ten othersinjures in accident
Sangli, Apr 2 (UNI) Four sugarcane cutter abourers were killed on the spot while ten others injured in an accident that occurred at Nagaj Phata on the Bagour-Ratnagiri national highway in Kavathe-Mahankal tehsil of this district early Tuesday morning.
According to police, sugarcane cutter labourers were returning their sugarcane cutting work at Gurudatta Cooperative Sugar Factory in Shirol of Kolhapur district by tractor-trolly.
Due to repair work, a tractor-trolly was stranded on the roadside at Nagaj Phata. Suddenly, a speedy truck vigorously dashed the tractor-trolly from behind.
In this incident, four labourers were killed on the spot, and ten others were injured and were admitted to Miraj and Kavathe-Mahankal hospitals.
