MVK Agro gets green nod for ethanol distillery in Nanded, Maharashtra

M.V.K. Agro Food Product has received environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to set up a 120 KLPD syrup and molasses-based ethanol plant with a 2.5 MW cogeneration unit in Nanded, Maharashtra, strengthening ethanol capacity and supporting India’s biofuel expansion and renewable energy integration.

M.V.K. Agro Food Product Limited has received prior environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for setting up a 120 KLPD syrup and molasses-based ethanol distillery along with a 2.5 MW cogeneration power plant in Maharashtra.

In a filing to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited on February 23, the company said the approval was granted by the ministry’s Impact Assessment Division for the proposed facility at Kusumnagar village in Waghalwada, Taluka Umri, District Nanded.

The planned project will include a 120 kilo litres per day ethanol distillery plant based on syrup and molasses, along with a 2.5 megawatt cogeneration power unit.

The company informed the stock exchange that it has received the required environmental clearance and requested that the information be taken on record.
