Odisha: Coastal Biotech’s ethanol project nears completion
Coastal Biotech Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Coastal Corporation Limited, is nearing completion of its ethanol production plant in Maringi, Gajapati, Odisha. With civil work starting in Q3 FY 23, the plant’s construction is progressing well. The EPC contract was awarded to Excel Engineering, Pune. Coastal Corporation, based in Visakhapatnam, specializes in shrimp processing and export.
The ethanol production plant of Coastal Biotech, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coastal Corporation, is progressing well and is nearing completion.
Dr. Emandi Sankara Rao, Chairman of Coastal Corporation Limited, stated in the Annual Report 2024, “We are further solidifying our future growth through strategic investments in our subsidiaries like Coastal Biotech Private Limited, where the plant and machinery erection for the ethanol production plant is well underway and nearing project completion.”
The company has established Coastal Biotech Pvt Ltd, a 100% subsidiary, for ethanol manufacturing at Village Maringi in Parlakhemundi Tahsil, Gajapati, Odisha, spread across 30 acres. The Groundbreaking Ceremony (Bhoomi Pujan) was held on November 30, 2021, and civil work and fabrication at the project site began in Q3 FY 23. The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract has been awarded to Excel Engineering, Pune.
Coastal Corporation Limited is an Export-Oriented Unit (EOU) based in Visakhapatnam, India, specializing in shrimp processing and export.
