OMCs may soon submit joint road map for green hydrogen sector: Report
State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) will submit a roadmap to expedite energy transition and promote green hydrogen adoption, reports Business Standard. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has requested this plan before the national budget. Public-sector undertakings (PSUs) aim to produce over 1 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030, reflecting a significant step towards sustainable energy.
According to the officials, state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) are preparing to jointly submit a roadmap aimed at expediting their energy transition initiatives and promoting widespread adoption of green hydrogen, reported Business Standard
As per officials, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has requested the submission of this detailed plan ahead of the upcoming national budget.
Under the ministry, public-sector undertakings (PSUs) are aiming to produce over 1 million tonnes (mt) of green hydrogen by 2030.
