Peshawar’s business community urged the provincial government to oppose Punjab’s ban on wheat movement to KP, warning it could trigger a flour crisis. Traders demanded policy consultation, an end to double taxation, and business-friendly measures. Issues discussed included border closures, administrative policies, and services from utilities such as PESCO, SNGPL, and PTCL.

PESHAWAR: Members of the business community urged the provincial government to take up the illegal and constitutional ban on movement of wheat from Punjab to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the centre to prevent creating the flour crisis in the province.

The business community stressed the business community must be consulted before formulation of policies, particularly taking actions for enforcement rules and orders to avoid creating an atmosphere of confrontation and harassment.
