Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that all future decisions regarding the import and export of sugar will be based on data to ensure national food security.
Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that all future decisions regarding the import and export of sugar will be based on data to ensure national food security.
Chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review sugar reserves, he directed all relevant departments to devise a mechanism through mutual consultation that ensures transparency, uniformity, and accountability.
During the meeting, it was agreed that a unified data collection system and a unified monitoring system would be established for effective monitoring of sugarcane production and productivity.
