Raizen says it is ready to meet ethanol demand for SAF production

The announcement was made after the confirmation that the firm obtained the ISCC Corsia Plus certification, which places the company as the only producer in the world to have certified ethanol for the production of SAF.
“Obtaining certification means that our ethanol meets a series of criteria aimed at decarbonizing this sector. Thus, we are anticipating the growing demand of this segment, which should be 20 million m³ in 2030”, said Raízen’s vice-president of Trading, Paulo Neves.
“As of our announcement, any company that wants to produce SAF from ethanol will need to buy from Raízen. This positions us as the only supplier of the raw material at the moment, and we are ready to meet the demand”, Neves said.
