Russia will export only 1.2 mln tons of wheat in June

Russia’s wheat exports for June 2025 are estimated at just 1.2 million tons, down from 1.9 million in May and 2.4 million in April, according to Sovecon—marking an unusually low volume for the top exporter. Rusagrotrans, however, raised its June estimate to 1.25 million tons and forecasts a strong July rebound to 4 million tons.
The analytical center “Sovecon” estimated wheat exports from Russia in June 2025 at 1.2 million tons, which is significantly lower than the previous forecast of 1.6 million tons. For comparison, 1.9 million tons were exported in May, and 2.4 million tons in April, Reuters reports. This volume is very low for Russia, one of the world’s largest wheat exporters.
Another analytical center, “Rusagrotrans”, on the same day increased its forecast for June exports from 1.06 million to 1.25 million tons. For July they expect a significant increase – from 3.6 to 4 million tons.
