Russia’s IKAR raises grain, wheat harvest and exports outlook

Russia’s IKAR agriculture consultancy said on Thursday it had raised its forecasts for Russia’s grain crop this year to 140.0 million metric tonnes from 139.0 million.

The forecast includes 91.0 million tonnes of wheat, up from 89.5 million tonnes, it said.

IKAR sees Russia’s grain exports potential at 64.0 million tonnes in the 2023/24 season, including 49.5 million tonnes of wheat, up from the previous forecasts of 61.0 and 47.5 million tonnes respectively.
