Saudi Arabia issues tender to buy 595,000 tons of wheat
Dubai, June 28, 2024 – Saudi Arabia’s General Food Security Authority (GFSA) has issued a tender for 595,000 metric tons of hard milling wheat with 12.5% protein, for delivery from September to December. The tender, closing on June 28, seeks 180,000 tons for Jeddah, Yanbu, and Dammam ports, plus 55,000 tons for Jizan. Price offer results are expected by July 1. This tender aims to bolster food security amidst global market fluctuations.
DUBAI: Saudi Arabia has issued a tender to buy 595,000 metric tons of wheat for arrival from September through December, the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) said on Thursday.
The deadline for submissions of price offers in the tender is Friday, June 28, a GFSA statement said.
European traders said results are expected on Monday July 1.
