NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 10:38AM KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 5.00%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.(up 1.72%), Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd.(up 1.52%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 1.39%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)Ltd.(up 0.94%), DCM Shriram Industries Ltd.(up 0.73%), Rana Sugars Ltd.(up 0.50%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 0.41%), Sakthi Sugars Ltd.(up 0.39%) and Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.36%) were among the top gainers.
Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd.(down 1.35%), Ugar Sugar Works Ltd.(down 1.03%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.97%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(down 0.77%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(down 0.75%), Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd.(down 0.39%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd.(down 0.29%), Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd.(down 0.26%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd.(down 0.12%) and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd.(down 0.08%) were among the top losers. The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 181.55 points down at 25098.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 529.57 points at 82025.87 at around 10:38AM. Asian Paints Ltd.(up 2.36%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 0.82%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 0.63%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 0.24%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.23%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.13%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 0.09%) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 0.07%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 3.38%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 3.12%), Wipro Ltd.(down 2.63%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.05%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.94%), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.67%), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.61%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.57%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.54%) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.49%) were trading in the red.
