Tunisia contracted food wheat by tender
On July 30, Tunisia’s state agency contracted 75,000 tonnes of soft wheat. Aston and Promising International each sold 25,000 tonnes at $243 and $246 per tonne, respectively. The wheat is expected to be delivered in September-October, with a high likelihood of it originating from Black Sea countries.
According to market operators, the state agency of Tunisia contracted 75 th. tonnes of soft wheat in the international tender on 30 July.
Of this volume, 50,000 tonnes of grain in batches of 25,000 tonnes each was contracted from operator Aston on a C&F basis at prices of $243 per tonne and $246 per tonne. Another batch of grain of the same volume and on the same terms was purchased from Promising International at $246 per tonne.
The contracted grain should be delivered in September-October this year. As for its origin, according to traders, there is a high probability that the wheat comes from the Black Sea countries.
