Turkey increased the import of corn from Ukraine by 2.5 times, soybeans by almost twice

Turkey’s imports of Ukrainian agricultural products rose 16 percent year-on-year to 1.48 billion dollars in January–July 2025, the Ukrainian Bean and Soybean Association reported. Corn imports increased 2.4 times to 760.6 million dollars, soybeans nearly doubled to 255.4 million dollars, while sunflower oil fell 18 percent to 319 million dollars.

In the first seven months of 2025, Turkey increased its imports of Ukrainian agricultural products. The total amount of supplies from Ukraine for January-July amounted to $1.48 billion, which is 16% more than in the same period of 2024. This was reported by the Ukrainian Bean and Soybean Association.

The largest growth was recorded in key items:

Corn: imports to Turkey increased by 2.4 times – $760.6 million compared to $322.9 million in 2024.

Soybean: deliveries almost doubled – $255.4 million compared to $141.9 million (+80%).

At the same time, imports of sunflower oil decreased by 18%, to $319 million compared to $389.9 million in the same period last year.

Analysts note that demand for Ukrainian corn and soybeans remains high, making Turkey one of Ukraine’s key partners in the agricultural market.
