Three ships carrying over 70,000 tons of wheat from Ukraine and Russia have arrived at Syria’s Tartous Port to bolster grain reserves and meet domestic demand. A fourth vessel with 26,000 tons awaits unloading, with additional 50,000-ton shipments expected soon to support nationwide food security.

Three cargo ships carrying over 70,000 tons of wheat have arrived at Tartous Port in Syria as part of the country’s program to strengthen strategic grain reserves and meet domestic market needs. According to port authorities, two of the vessels came from Ukraine and one from Russia. Unloading is currently underway, with part of the grain stored in port silos and the rest transported directly by trucks and rail in coordination with the General Establishment of Syrian Railways.

Additionally, a fourth vessel carrying 26,000 tons of wheat is waiting to be unloaded, while further shipments totaling around 50,000 tons are expected soon. Earlier this month, four ships delivering 94,000 tons of wheat also arrived at Tartous Port to supply mills across all provinces and support Syria’s national food security.
