Ukraine exported 95% of the wheat agreed in the memorandum
As of June 13, Ukraine exported 39.6 million tons of grain and leguminous crops in the 2024/25 marketing year, 18% less than the same period last year. Wheat exports totaled 15.4 million tons (down 14%), corn 21.3 million tons (down 23%), barley 2.3 million tons (down 5%), and flour 67.5 thousand tons (down 29%).
The volume of grain and leguminous crops exports from Ukraine in the 2024/25 MY as of June 13 amounted to 39.6 million tons, which is 8.8 million tons, or 18% less than in the same period last season. This is evidenced by data from the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, 15.4 million tons of wheat were shipped this season, which is 14% less than last year’s volumes. Thus, 95% of wheat from the total volume agreed in the grain memorandum (16.2 million tons) was exported.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 2.3 million tons, which is 5% less than in the same period last season.
Rye was shipped in 10.8 thousand tons, which is 7 times more than in the previous season (1.6 thousand tons).
Corn was exported in the amount of 21.3 million tons, which is 23% less than shipments on the same date last season.
Flour exports from Ukraine amounted to 67.5 thousand tons, which is 29% less than last year’s figure.
For reference: in the 2023/24 MY, grain and leguminous crop exports amounted to 50.8 million tons: wheat – 18.4 million tons; barley – 2.5 million tons; rye – 1.6 thousand tons; corn – 29.4 million tons; flour – 98.2 thousand tons.
