Ukraine exported almost 15.5 million tons of grain during the first half of the season
Ukraine exported 15.43 million tons of grains as of January 1 in MY 2025/26, far below last year’s 21.86 million tons. Shipments included 7.9 million tons of wheat, 6 million tons of corn, and 1.3 million tons of barley. Flour exports reached 34,200 tons, also slightly lower year-on-year.
As of January 1, since the start of the 2025/26 MY, Ukraine exported 15.429 million tons of grains and grain legumes, of which 2.997 million tons were shipped in December. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, citing operational data from the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
It is also specified that as of January 3 last year, the total volume of shipments amounted to 21.857 million tons.
By crop, since the beginning of the season, the following volumes were exported:
– wheat – 7.904 million tons (9.783 million tons in 2024/25 MY);
– barley – 1.319 million tons (1.968 million tons);
– rye – 0.2 thousand tons (10.8 thousand tons);
– corn – 5.956 million tons (9.779 million tons).
Total exports of Ukrainian flour since the start of the season, as of January 1, were estimated at 34.2 thousand tons (37.7 thousand tons in 2024/25 MY), including 33.3 thousand tons of wheat flour (34.6 thousand tons).
