Ukraine resumes corn harvesting
Major Ukrainian producers including HarvEast, AGROTRADE Group and IMC have resumed corn harvesting to clear fields ahead of spring sowing. IMC reports solid yields of 13 t/ha, while firms aim to complete delayed harvests by February-end.
Several major Ukrainian agricultural companies have resumed corn harvesting as they race to complete fieldwork before the start of the spring sowing campaign. The move reflects both logistical pressures and the need to clear fields in time for new plantings.
The agricultural company HarvEast restarted corn harvesting in February in the Kyiv region, according to its official communications. The company said the decision was driven by the approaching spring planting season, which requires fields to be fully prepared.
Meanwhile, AGROTRADE Group also resumed its corn harvest. By the end of 2025, about 1,225 hectares — roughly 10% of its total corn area — remained unharvested. The company reported that six combines and nine grain carts are currently operating in the fields, with plans to finish the campaign by the end of February.
Another major producer, IMC, had already continued harvesting in late January. Its CEO, Oleksandr Verzhykhovskyi, stated that average yields reached about 13 tons per hectare, with grain moisture levels at 22–23%, indicating relatively favorable crop conditions despite delays.
