Ukrainian grain export rates lag behind last year’s figures by almost 40%


As of September 29, Ukraine exported 6.26 million tons of grains and legumes in MY 2025/26, down 39.1% from last year. Wheat exports reached 4.43 million tons, barley 799 thousand tons, corn 911 thousand tons, while rye was not exported. Flour shipments totaled 14.8 thousand tons, declining 1.2 times year-on-year.
As of September 29, in the MY 2025/26, Ukraine exported 6 million 260 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops, which is 4 million 035 thousand tons or 39.1% less than last year.
This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
As of September 29, Ukrainian wheat exports amounted to 4 million 429 thousand tons, which is 1 million 534 thousand tons or 1.3 times less than last year.
Barley exports amounted to 799 thousand tons, rye has not been exported abroad yet.
Ukrainian corn exports amounted to 911 thousand tons, which is 1 million 837 thousand tons or 3.0 times less than last year.
In addition, 14.8 thousand tons of flour (or 19.7 thousand tons in grain terms) were sent abroad, which is 4.2 thousand tons or 1.2 times less than last year.
