Ukrainian wheat exports exceeded 9 mln tons
Ukraine has exported 22.3 MMT of grains in 2025/26 MY as of March 2, down 25% year-on-year. Wheat, corn, and barley shipments all declined sharply, reflecting slower trade flows compared to last season’s 40.6 MMT total grain exports.
The volume of grain and leguminous crops exports from Ukraine in the 2025/26 MY as of March 2 amounted to about 22.3 million tons, which is 7.3 million tons, or 25% less than the previous season.
This is evidenced by data from the State Customs Service.
Thus, 9.1 million tons of wheat were exported. This is 3 million tons, or 25% less than last year’s volumes.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to more than 1.35 million tons. The decrease compared to the same date last season is 36%.
Rye was exported in the amount of 0.2 thousand tons, which is ten times less than last year’s 10.8 thousand tons.
11.5 million tons of corn were exported, which is 23% less than last season’s shipments.
Flour exports from Ukraine amounted to 43.1 thousand tons, which is 12% less than last year’s figure.
For reference: in the 2024/25 MY, exports of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 40.6 million tons: wheat – 15.7 million tons; barley – 2.3 million tons; rye – 10.8 thousand tons; corn – 22 million tons; flour – 71.1 thousand tons.
