UNICA reports record ethanol production, sales for 2024-‘25

Brazil’s UNICA reports a record 34.96 billion liters of ethanol produced in 2024–25, up 4.06% year-on-year, despite a 4.98% drop in sugarcane processing. Corn ethanol soared 30.7% to 8.19 billion liters. Domestic sales rose 11.2% to 33.91 billion liters, while exports slumped 32.8%. Hydrous ethanol saw strong demand, offsetting lower anhydrous output.
