USDA: Corn use for fuel ethanol production at 473 million bushels in December

The USDA’s latest report shows that corn use for fuel ethanol in December slightly increased from November but dropped 2% compared to December 2023. Total corn consumption for alcohol and other uses was 521 million bushels, with 92.8% for alcohol production. Distillers grains and corn oil production saw mixed trends, while carbon dioxide capture rose to 238,804 tons, reflecting ongoing shifts in ethanol co-product output.
