Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a 4% Dearness Allowance (DA) hike for HRTC employees, aligning them with state government workers. This increase will be part of their Diwali gift. He emphasized the need for HRTC to improve efficiency and highlighted the upcoming launch of the Green Hydrogen Project to modernize transportation and reduce emissions.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a four percent Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees of the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) on Saturday, bringing their benefits in line with those of state government employees.
The Chief Minister noted that this increase will be included in the Diwali gift package for HRTC staff.
Recognizing the significant financial support provided to HRTC, which receives an annual grant exceeding Rs 700 crore, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of improving the corporation’s operational efficiency. He stated, “HRTC must implement changes in its working system to overcome its losses. Additionally, we are moving towards a sustainable future by launching the Green Hydrogen Project next month, aimed at modernizing the transport sector and reducing its carbon footprint.”
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, who is also the Transport Minister, underscored HRTC’s steadfast dedication to serving the people of Himachal Pradesh.
