US spring wheat tour forecasts record North Dakota yield
FARGO, North Dakota, July 25 (Reuters) -Scouts on an annual North Dakota crop tour on Thursday projected hard red spring wheat yields in the top-producing state will average 54.5 bushels per acre, the highest ever according to records going back to 1992.
The figure was well above the Wheat Quality Council tour’s 2023 estimate of 47.4 bushels per acre and the five-year average of 42 bushels per acre, excluding 2020.
