DG Fuels plans to build sustainable aviation fuel plant in Midwest
DG Fuels is partnering with Nebraska to build the Midwest’s first sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plant in Phelps County. Set to start operations in 2030, the facility will produce 193 million gallons of SAF annually with low or zero CO2 emissions. It will convert corn stover into SAF, generating significant local economic benefits, including around 650 jobs.

DG Fuels, a company specializing in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), has announced plans to construct a production facility in Phelps County.
As per media report, the company expects the plant to commence operations in 2030, with an annual output of 193 million gallons of SAF featuring zero or low CO2 lifecycle emissions.
The facility in Phelps County will convert corn stover into high-value SAF, generating millions of dollars annually.
The project is anticipated to create approximately 650 jobs and provide various other local benefits.
