UNICA: Production, sales of ethanol continue to trend higher in late July
UNICA reported a slight 3.35% decrease in sugarcane processing in Brazil’s south-central region in late July, with 51.31 million metric tons processed. However, total processing since April 1 increased by 6.65% to 332.88 million tons. Ethanol production rose to 2.55 billion liters, with significant growth in hydrous and corn ethanol. Ethanol sales also grew by 16.6% to 2.96 billion liters in July, driven by strong domestic demand for hydrous ethanol.
